SCOTLAND’S top Italian restaurants and chefs are in the running for a number of accolades at the inaugural Scottish Italian Awards.
Members of the public are being urged to vote for their favourite Italian businesses and personalities in the Scottish hospitality industry as part of the scheme.
There are a total of 17 awards categories, ranging from best Italian restaurant, chef and multiple operator to awards for the best pasta, pizza and wine list.
Michelin Star chef Jean-Christophe Novelli will work with independent judges to sample the menu of ten of the finalists.
Organisers of the Scottish Italian Awards have teamed up with Glasgow Taxis to promote the event through a new liveried cab, which will be on Glasgow’s streets in the run up to the awards on November 10.
Event organiser Warren Paul said: “The awards are an excellent opportunity to recognise the very best Italian owned businesses in Scotland.”
