THREE Glasgow students have completed a week-long placement in top London restaurants after winning a competition organised by catering supplier Brakes.
The Brakes Student Chef Team Challenge was won by a team of three students from The City of Glasgow College.
As the top prize, Michael Shedden, Vanessa Daley and Neil Rowan were taken to London for work experience in the kitchens of Harrods, the Dorchester Hotel and Cafe Spice Namaste.
The trip was organised by Christopher Basten, chairman of the Craft Guild of Chefs and a judge of the Student Chef Team Challenge.
Basten described the week as a “fantastic way for young talent to demonstrate first hand their skills working in a time-pressured professional kitchen”.
