POSSIBLE industrial action at a transport and logistics company could have a knock-on effect on beer and soft drink deliveries across Scotland.
Staff at Kuehne & Nagel Drinks Logistics (KNDL) are being balloted for industrial action by workers’ union Unite.
The distribution company, which handles deliveries for companies such as Heineken and Britvic, has 27 depots across the UK, including several in Scotland.
Drivers, drayman and warehouse staff at its depots in Aberdeen, Bathgate, Dundee and Inverness were among those being balloted by the union as SLTN went to press.
A spokeswoman for KNDL said the company “is fully committed to ongoing dialogue with Unite and plans to meet with union representatives on August 29 to discuss the situation further”.
