DAVID Welch, general manager at The George Hotel in Edinburgh, has retired after 40 years in the hospitality industry.
Welch said he had enjoyed a “fantastic career” and is looking forward to “having time to relax and spend more time with my family”.
Graeme Barclay, who has 30 years’ experience in the industry, has taken the reins at The George.
