Two community pubs have been put on the market by pubco Star Pubs & Bars.
The Horse and Hound, near Hawick, and the Inn at Longcroft, near Bonnybridge are both priced at offers over £225,000.
The Horse and Hound is said to date back to 1701, when it operated as a coaching inn, and comprises a public bar, restaurant, letting rooms, residents’ lounge and an owner’s flat. The Inn at Longcroft, meanwhile, includes licensed accommodation, an owner’s flat and a car park.
Kevin Hunter of selling agent CDLH said both properties “form part of the core of their local communities and offer an excellent business opportunity”.
