Chance to snap up village hotel

Accommodation and spa business on the market

The hotel has 52 bedrooms and a range of bar and restaurant areas.

A HOTEL and spa located in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is up for sale.

Property agent Colliers International is marketing the Best Western Buchanan Arms Hotel & Spa in the village of Drymen, close to the eastern shores of Loch Lomond and the West Highland Way, on behalf of current owner Wayne Gardner-Young, who bought the business out of administration in 2009.
Gardner-Young is said to have invested significantly in the hotel – both in terms of the fabric of the building and marketing.
The property comprises 52 letting bedrooms and a range of conference, banqueting, restaurant and bar facilities. Included in the sale is the Relax Club & Haven Spa leisure facility.

Recent investment is reflected in the growing turnover.

Alistair Letham, a director with Colliers International, said the business’s turnover has grown in recent years, with the hotel attracting a broad clientele of locals, tourists and business customers.
“The Best Western Buchanan Arms Hotel & Spa in Drymen is one of these well-known, landmark destination hotels popular with and known to the huge population – private and corporate – who stay in the central belt of Scotland and the Glasgow conurbation,” he said.
“The seller’s hard work and investment into this property is now being reflected by the significant growth in income.
“The Buchanan Arms Hotel is a great purchase for experienced operators seeking a popular and established business.”
Offers around £3 million are sought for the The Buchanan Arms Hotel & Spa.
