DUNDEE is one of four UK cities in the running for the 2017 City of Culture title.
It joins Hull, Leicester and Swansea Bay on the shortlist, with the winner to be announced in November.
VisitScotland chief executive Malcolm Roughead said it is “fantastic news” for the city and for Scotland.
