BEERS from two Scottish breweries have made the cut in Sainsbury’s Great British Beer Hunt.

Alloa-based Williams Bros Brewing Co took three of the top five places in the Scotland and Northern Ireland regional final, with the Orkney Brewery securing one. Northern Ireland’s Hilden Brewery took the other spot.
All five beers will go on sale in Sainsbury’s stores for three weeks in September. The three best-selling beers for each region in the UK will go forward to the grand final on October 4, where two overall winners will receive a six-month listing in Sainsbury’s stores.
