BEER firm Innis & Gunn has announced plans to open a multi-use event space in Edinburgh’s west end.
The company aims to convert the ground and lower-ground floors of the townhouse it occupies in order to create the venue, which is expected to open in July.
The new space will be available for private bookings, ticketed events and hospitality.
Innis & Gunn founder Dougal Sharp said plans to develop the space have been in the pipeline for some time.
“From the moment we bought the townhouse I had great plans for
it,” said Sharp.
“It’s such an incredible building in one of the most beautiful parts of Edinburgh and it presented us with a great opportunity to create a brand home; a social place that we could use to entertain, but where the door would also be open to people who were looking for somewhere a little bit different to spend time, be it an evening learning about beer in the company of good friends, or simply having a meeting, with the option of a cool beer at full-time.
“The transformation is nearly complete and we can’t wait to welcome the first visitors.”
