FAMILY-owned Scotch whisky firm Douglas Laing & Co has split into two distinct businesses following a restructure.
The company, which was founded by Fred Douglas Laing in 1948, has been split between Laing’s sons, Fred and Stewart.
Douglas Laing & Co, under Fred Laing, will own brands such as Big Peat and Single Cask Provenance while Hunter Laing, under Stewart, will retain assets including the Old Malt Cask brand and a bottling facility in East Kilbride.
