A NEW flavoured variant of Luxardo Sambuca has been added to the range.
Luxardo Sambuca with Mint has been launched in the on-trade initially, and will then be rolled out to the off-trade.
At 38% ABV, the mint sambuca has a light blue colour and a taste which distributor Cellar Trends described as the “most intense” so far. The new variant is said to be best-served as a chilled shot or as part of a simple mixed long drink.
Luxardo Mint is the seventh Luxardo Sambuca flavour following the release of pear and cola variants in 2012. Cellar Trends said the new variant is targeted at “sociable groups in high energy bars and pubs wanting to share the same drinking experience”.
According to Craig Chapman, brand manager for Luxardo at Cellar Trends, the flavoured range now accounts for 25% of Luxardo sambuca sales.
“The intense fresh flavour of the new Luxardo with Mint really delivers an intense flavour hit, which makes it perfect for enjoying as a shot,” he said.
“At the same time, the sambuca base bursts through in a characteristic way.”
