TENNENT Caledonian treated golf club stewards to a round with Scots golf legend – and brand ambassador for its Caledonia Best ale – Sam Torrance.
Attended by 45 club stewards from 30 courses across Scotland, the event was held at Dundonald Links in Ayrshire and featured a range of individual and team competitions, including longest drive and a nearest the pin challenge against Ryder Cup hero Torrance. Prizes included a four-ball at Gleneagles, Archerfield or Dundonald golf courses.
The day, which concluded with a prize-giving and lunch in the Dundonald clubhouse, is the latest stage in the partnership with Sam Torrance, who was appointed Caledonia Best Clubhouse Captain in March 2012.
John Gilligan, managing director of Tennent Caledonian, said: “We wanted to treat Scotland’s golf club stewards to a unique and exciting day of golf and there was no better way to deliver this than with our Clubhouse Captain, Sam Torrance.
“Once again Sam was a fabulous host; we’d like to thank him for his encouragement throughout the day and for passing on some useful tips.”
