PLANS to raise stakes and prizes for gaming machines have been welcomed by trade group the BBPA.
Responding to a UK government consultation, the BBPA said increasing the maximum prize for category C machines from £70 to £100 would be “of considerable benefit to the pub sector”.
“We warmly welcome the government’s plans to raise the prize to £100 – something we have long called for,” said BBPA chief executive Brigid Simmonds.
