CRAFT brewer Meantime Brewing Company sought inspiration from across the pond for its latest limited edition beer.
Inspired by Californian common ales and American pale ales, the Californian Pale Ale is a blend of Celeila hops from Slovenia and Crystal hops from the Yakima Valley in Washington State.
Alastair Hook, brewmaster at Meantime Brewing, said the beer is clean and complex with a lasting finish.
“A wonderfully complex and full-flavoured beer, the Californian Pale Ale offers a unique layering of flavours that expertly blends the vibrant hoppy bitterness and sweet, aromatic fruity flavours,” he said. “Underpinned by a subtle sweetness on both the nose and palate, our take on the typical British style Extra Special Bitter or an American Pale Ale, we think this is the ideal choice in offering customers a full-flavoured seasonal spring brew.”
