Pubs used as ‘second office’

PUBS have overtaken coffee shops as the top destination for a ‘second office’, according to wi-fi provider The Cloud.

Research by the firm, which is owned by BSkyB, showed 1.6 million more hours are spent on wi-fi for work reasons in pubs than in coffee shops, with five million customers using pub wi-fi for work every week; 77% of these customers said they used wi-fi for emails.
