Hotel could be a Haven for new owners

A NEW owner is being sought for a village hotel on the west coast of Scotland.

The Haven Hotel in Plockton ceased trading in autumn 2011 and has been put on the market by mortgagee in possession Royal Bank of Scotland. It has 15 bedrooms, a bar, lounge and two restaurants; there’s also a suite and a private flat.
Alistair Letham of selling agents Colliers International, who is marketing the property with a price tag of £300,000, described Plockton as “a perennially popular visitor’s destination” and said the hotel is “well positioned” to capitalise on its location.
“It offers a real opportunity for new owners to reopen and re-establish what was once a thriving business in an idyllic ‘picture postcard’ village on Scotland’s north west coast,” added Letham.
