A DUNFERMLINE community pub is in full bloom following a root and branch refurbishment.
The Thistle Tavern in Baldridgeburn was due to open as this section of SLTN went to press following the joint investment by new operator Tam Varney and owner Punch Taverns. The results of the three-week refurb will be officially unveiled at a launch party tomorrow (March 8), which will feature local singer Jade Richards, who appeared on the X Factor.
Varney, who also runs the Denn Inn in Leven, said the revamp will help the Thistle Tavern maximise its potential.
“The investment will allow us to cater for families during the day and early evening and we will be able to strengthen our food offer, provide exciting entertainment and bring the pub back to the community,” he said.
Punch Taverns’ partnership development manager Gavin Stevenson said both parties are “really pleased with the transformation”.
