RECENTLY-launched Northern Irish cider brand MacIvors has secured a listing with Scottish pub firm the Shilling Group.
Under the deal, Shilling Group is stocking the two MacIvors ciders – 5.6% ABV Traditional Dry and 4.5% ABV Medium – across its estate, which includes Edinburgh bars The Fountain, Golden Rule, Bar Kohl, Carriers Quarters and Thomsons.
“We secured the deal to supply Shilling Group in Edinburgh through a long-standing contact in the business,” said cider maker Gary MacNeice, who launched the ciders in November 2012 after four years of development.
“It’s tremendously encouraging to secure a breakthrough in Britain just a few months after the market launch of our new cider.
“It provides us with a tremendous platform for further business in Britain, especially with pubs and restaurants which have a strong focus on genuine artisan products.”
