Profits up for Stella owner

BREWING giant AB InBev has reported a strong financial performance for 2012, with revenues and profits up on the previous year.

The Stella Artois and Budweiser owner said revenues were up 7.2% to $39.8 billion while profits rose 12.9% to $7.3bn.
In the UK, AB InBev’s ‘own product’ volumes fell 8.2%, which it attributed to a “weak industry” and “market share pressure” from competitive activity in the off-trade.
