Makeover of airport hotel gets underway

A HOTEL which has operated at Glasgow airport for more than 40 years is undergoing a major facelift.

Work is underway on a £1 million overhaul of the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport, which aims to “refresh” the building’s appearance.
Part of an ongoing three-year refurbishment programme, which has seen the ground floor bar and restaurant revamped and the lifts refurbished, the latest project involves teams of painters working in tandem to paint the entire facia of the building.
Hotel GM Douglas Winfield said: “We are excited that the new-look 300-room hotel will provide a refreshed landmark for an estimated six million passengers that visit the hotel each year.”
