Bunkhouse ripe for conversion into small hotel, agent says
A STRATHSPEY bunkhouse that’s said to be ripe for conversion into a small hotel or guest house has come onto the market.
Nethy Bridge House in Abernethy, which is on the books of agent Bruce & Co, has 16 bedrooms across three floors and can currently sleep 65.
The property, which is set in one acre, also has a self-contained flat, a bar/games room, piano room, commercial kitchen, dining room and cellar.
The property is located in one of Strathspey’s most popular tourist destinations.
The village of Abernethy is said to be a popular tourist destination due to its location in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, close to Aviemore and two ski resorts, and at the edge of Abernethy Forest.
Bruce & Co’s Kaira Massie said the Nethy Bridge House offers “fantastic potential” for conversion to a small hotel, restaurant with rooms or guest house.
“The sale of Nethy Bridge House offers an excellent opportunity located in one of Strathspey’s popular tourist destinations,” she said. “The property would be suitable for a variety of businesses, though would be particularly ideal as a stunning guest house or a small hotel, and could be ready for trading within a short space of time.”
Nethy Bridge House is on the market with a price tag of offers over ÂŁ299,995.
