New owners have landed

Located in the centre of Jedburgh, the Spread Eagle Hotel has eight bedrooms.

A BORDERS hotel has changed hands for an undisclosed sum after attracting a high level of interest from potential buyers.

Brothers Brian and Steven McLay acquired the Spread Eagle Hotel in Jedburgh in a deal brokered by property agent Cornerstone.
The hotel has eight en suite bedrooms, a restaurant, meeting room, breakfast room, residents’ lounge and unused bar.
Cornerstone director Gordon Mair said the previous owners carried out “substantial” refurbishment work during their eight years in charge. “The hotel immediately attracted a high level of interest due to the competitive pricing of the business, the substantial investment already made and the potential for further development,” he said.
