ABERDEEN restaurant Musa aimed to drive up business in the traditionally quiet weeks of January with a promotional campaign for iPhone users.
GM John Kelman reckoned a host of new iPhones would have been activated in the area over Christmas and offered their owners a 20% off voucher via the venue’s own iPhone app.
Consumers who downloaded the app from the iTunes store and showed it to staff when ordering a meal during January received the discount.
“Like Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Facebook, it’s another great way of sharing interesting Musa and food-related material with fans of the restaurant,” said Kelman.
A similar offer may be repeated later in the year.
