Brighter times

AN Edinburgh pub that’s said to enjoy a great reputation for its draught beer is reaping the benefits after installing a new automated line cleaning system.

The Volunteer Arms in Leith adopted the CellarBright system after learning that it had tested well scientifically and hearing good reports in the trade.
Owner Dayne Laidlaw had been looking for a new system to save costs and improve the efficiency of their cleaning operations.
“I then came across CellarBright – their system looked easy to use, it was tested by a professor from Edinburgh University and there were a lot of great case studies to prove that it not only cleaned the lines to my standard, but allowed us to save the beer too,” he said.
CellarBright MD Hance McGhie said the tie-up with the pub was a “key installation”, adding that it “proves the system works”.
