Beer aims to bring rum-thing different

Bachata beer has an ABV of 5.3%.

A NEW rum-flavoured beer has been launched in the UK.

Bachata is described as a “finest quality lager blended with a dash of golden rum”.
Distributor Flagship Brands said the 5.3% ABV beer aims to tap into a burgeoning flavoured beer category and the buoyancy of the golden rum sector.
Flagship Brands, whose portfolio includes Flagship vodka and Viru beer, described Bachata as a “delicious premium beer with the real spirit of Cuba”.
“The flavoured beer category is growing strongly and golden rum is one of the most buoyant spirit sectors,” it said in a statement.
“Bachata is ideally placed to capitalise on these trends.”
