Put down roots in Edinburgh

The Olive Tree is popular with students.

A CAFE and bistro close to the main teaching buildings of Edinburgh University has come onto the books of Christie & Co.

The Olive Tree, on the corner of Marshall Street and Potterrow, is said to have been refurbished and upgraded by the current owners.
“We think the Olive Tree offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on owners to take on a well-established trading business, which has the potential for further growth,” said the agent’s Barry McNeil.
Offers around £120,000 are sought for the leasehold of the property, which has a current rent of £31,000 per annum.
