CHEFS looking for new ways to serve haggis this Burns night might be advised to pop into their nearest book store.
Jo Macsween, food lover, blogger and scion of the haggis-making family, will this month publish a new book packed with recipes for the quintessential Scottish foodstuff.
The Macsween Haggis Bible, illustrated by Bob Dewar, reveals 50 ways to enjoy haggis – whether at breakfast, lunch or dinner. And you don’t have to be a carnivore to take inspiration, Macsween’s veggie haggis being a popular part of the producer’s range.
“Whether it’s haggis nachos for the big match, haggis benedict for an indulgent breakfast or stuffed courgettes with sauce vierge just for something different, you can now have haggis whenever you please,” says the promotional note for the book from publisher Birlinn.
The Macsween Haggis Bible is out on January 22, priced ÂŁ4.99.
