Halewood takes herbal liqueur

Josef Meier’s liqueur has an ABV of 30%.

THE firm behind Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer and Lambrini has added herbal liqueur Josef Meier’s to its portfolio.

Halewood International took over distribution of the 30% ABV liqueur in Scotland, England and Wales on January 1.
Josef Meier’s is said to be made using a range of herbs and spices, and is best-served ice cold or mixed with an energy drink. It’s also said to be an ideal base for a range of cocktails.
Andy Smallman, managing director of Halewood International, said the firm will look to build on the work done so far by Cubic Brands.
“Josef Meier’s is another excellent addition to the Halewood portfolio and allows us to offer our wide range of customers yet another quality product in a growing segment of the beer, wine and spirits category,” he said.
Cubic Brands Rob Preston said: “I am delighted to be working with Halewood International on the distribution of this brand. I hope that by working together we will be able to achieve greater distribution of the Josef Meier’s product across the UK and in doing so help to increase the profile of this popular product.”
