PUB industry body BII has appointed a new chief executive.
Tim Hulme will join the BII on January 7, 2013, and work with current chief executive Peter Thomas, who has led BII for just over a year, until the spring, when he will take full executive control of the organisation.
Hulme, who is currently deputy principal at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College, said he “can’t wait to get started” at the BII. “It’s an organisation that has tremendous opportunities and some challenges too,” he said.
“I’m proud to have this opportunity to lead the pub trade’s professional body, which is there to represent its members, and to drive standards and professionalism across the industry.”
Thomas said Hulme was the “outstanding candidate” for the role.
“He has a great blend of skills, not least strong strategic leadership and a track record of delivering commercial success at complex organisations,” he said.
