Venters close to Belhaven exit

BELHAVEN owner Greene King has confirmed that brewing and brands boss Euan Venters is to leave the firm at the end of the year.

Venters joined Belhaven as managing director when he succeeded Stuart Ross in 2008, having previously held senior marketing roles on brands like Brylcreem and Radox.
Venters’ spell with the firm coincided with the full integration of Belhaven into Greene King, a process that began when GK acquired the Dunbar-based brewer and pub firm for £187 million in 2005, and concluded in the spring of 2011. Venters became MD of GK’s brewing and brands division on completion of the integration last year.
At the time of writing it was unclear what his next move will be.
“We can confirm that Euan Venters will be leaving Greene King at the end of December 2012,” the firm said in a statement.
“We’d like to thank Euan for the great contribution he has made to Greene King, and also specifically to Belhaven, over the last four years and he leaves with our best wishes. We will make an announcement about his successor in due course.”
