Play the long game in Falkirk

A VILLAGE inn that’s said to offer real growth potential has come onto the books of Christie & Co.
The property agent is marketing the leasehold of the Inn at Longcroft near Falkirk with a price tag of offers in the region of £50,000.
The business, which formerly traded as the Masonic Arms, was taken over last year by Malcolm Binnie, who also owns the Wheelhouse restaurant in Falkirk and the Boathouse in Kilsyth. Following a comprehensive refurbishment, he relaunched it as the Inn at Longcroft in March 2011.

Christie & Co’s Jonathan Clough said the business, which has a 38-cover restaurant, bar and function room, has an excellent reputation.
“This represents a tremendous opportunity for an incoming owner to take over a well-performing business that requires no capital expenditure and offers real growth potential,” he said.
