ACKERGILL Tower in Wick has been awarded five-star status from the Scottish Tourist Board.
The 15th century castle has 17 bedroom suites and is part of the Clarenco Collection, which owns a range of properties across the UK, including Carberry Tower in Musselburgh and Kinnettles Castle in Forfar.
Andrew Jamieson, regional GM for the Scottish properties, said: “We see this as reflection of the venue’s wonderful location, combined with the luxurious interiors and the first class service we provide to all of our guests.”
