APPLICATIONS are now being taken for a scheme designed to identify and nurture talent in the Scottish wholesale industry.
The Scottish Wholesale Association is inviting talented individuals holding sales, buying and managerial roles in the sector to apply to its new mentoring programme, unveiled at its conference in June. It is also seeking mentors – from inside and outside the industry – to implement the scheme.
Designed to help individuals fulfil their potential, the programme also aims to meet the needs of the businesses involved, so the mentoring will take place in the workplace.
SWA training partner 121 HR Solutions will oversee the scheme, which after 12 months of mentoring gives candidates the chance to work towards a professional qualification.
