Raise a glass to cider month

CRAFT cider will be in the spotlight this month as the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) stages its annual cider and perry month.

Held in the month when British cider production is at its height, the month-long celebration brings together events, including festivals and tastings, across the UK designed to champion craft cider makers.
In Scotland, events include the Ayrshire Real Ale Festival, taking place between Thursday October 11 and Saturday October 13.
Held in Troon Concert Hall, the festival will include craft products from around 20 cider and perry producers, including Welsh producer Gwynt Y Ddraig and English cider makers The Cotswold Cider Company and Brook Farm, as well as more than 100 real ales.
More information on the festival can be found at www.ayrshirebeerfestival.co.uk
