Law firm to host forum

THE impact of recent legislation on the licensed trade will be debated at a new forum hosted by a law firm in Edinburgh.

‘Red tap strangulation’ will be the theme for Tods Murray’s inaugural Hospitality & Leisure Forum on October 11, where speakers including SLTA chief Paul Waterson, HIT Scotland’s David Cochrane and David McLetchie MSP will consider the impact of the 2005 licensing Act on the trade and other issues.
Three other forum events will be held by the firm between now and April, with tourism, finance in the hospitality sector and the business potential from the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup among the topics to be debated.
