Hayman’s in the navy

HAYMAN Distillers, the company behind Hayman’s London Dry Gin and Hayman’s Old Tom Gin, has released a new ‘navy-strength’ product.

Royal Dock Gin is said to be based on the style of gin that the Hayman family provided to the Royal and merchant navies in the 19th century.
The new brand is bottled at 57% ABV, the strength that was required by the navy as it would enable gunpowder to light even if gin was spilled on it. The new gin takes its name from the dockyard at Deptford on the Thames in South London.
