ICE machines have become an increasingly important purchase for bar operators, according to equipment supplier Manitowoc.
Regional sales director Simon Frost said that as ice has become more important to the drinks industry, more thought is being given to ice-making machines within outlets.
“The provision of ice within an establishment should be tailored to the type of drinks being served,” he said.
“Crushed, cubed and diced ice are all suited to the individual drink being served, leading establishments to consider the ice machine they look to purchase.”
Frost said there are a range of different ice machines on the market, capable of producing various shapes and quantities of ice, and urged operators to consider the needs of their outlet when buying equipment.
