Move north is a joint venture

CARLO Citti and Donald MacLeod set up a new company, Lettuce Up North, for the launch of Campus and The Garage in Aberdeen.

But the two outlets will continue to be marketed separately to ensure the brands retain their individual profiles.
The strategy was confirmed last week by Donald MacLeod, who praised CPL operations and finance chief Brian Fulton for “jumping through hoops to put the deal together”.
MacLeod said there were many people to thank for ensuring the project got off the ground, but singled out the marketing talents of Cammy Craig at Campus and CPL’s Jen Fisher, as well as music promoter JellyBaby for special praise.
While club nights at The Garage in Aberdeen will reflect local tastes, MacLeod confirmed that JellyBaby would be one of the major nights at the new venue.
