THE BII has endorsed the latest version of the voluntary code that defines the ‘minimum standards’ pubcos have committed to adhering to in their deals with tenants.
Boss Peter Thomas said the code, revised in light of successive probes into the industry by MPs down south, wasn’t perfect but marks a “vastly improved industry benchmark”. “As an industry we have to take responsibility and demonstrate that we can regulate without legislation,” Thomas said.
