Bar offers taste of autumn wine

AN Edinburgh wine bar offered its customers a flavour of autumn at a wine tasting earlier this week.

Le Di-Vin in Randolph Place, which is part of La P’tite Folie restaurant, staged a tasting of medium-bodied red wines on Tuesday (September 4).
Priced at £15 per person, the event included charcuterie plates and wines such as Chianti Colli Senesi, Cotes Du Rhone St Esprit, Finca Las Moras, Vondeling Petit Rouge, Saumur Champigny and Chateau Du Moulin Noir.
Speaking ahead of this week’s event, Le Di-Vin owners Virginie Brouard and Ghislain Aubertel said in a statement: “The next wine tasting, which is a range of medium-bodied red wines, is to prepare people for the heavier wines in early November.
“It is a tasting to conclude and to summarise the wines our customers have tasted and liked the most over the last 12 months.
“It will be very relaxed, as all the customers coming are very regular to our wine tastings. However, the Champagne tasting later in October will be something very different.
