New HQ for capital caterer

A RISING star in Scottish catering is on course to achieve a 40% increase in turnover following a move into new Edinburgh premises.

Ginger Snap owner Tania Dixon started the business from a kitchen at her parents’ Perthshire home but now hopes a move to Leith will continue the momentum that saw the firm named Best Independent Event Caterer for 2012 at an industry awards ceremony.
The investment includes the addition of two chefs who will work with Dixon to service a client base that covers much of the country and includes corporate contracts with Brewin Dolphin, Bonham’s, Merrill Lynch and Louis Vuitton.
“Having secured a strong client base, combined with consistent demand for our service, this year seemed the right time to make the move and expand into new premises,” said Dixon, who expects this year’s turnover to hit £500,000.
