A VILLAGE inn on the outskirts of Falkirk has changed hands in a deal brokered by property agent Cornerstone.
The Avonside Inn in Avonbridge was sold on behalf of heritable creditor Lloyds TSB to Gibson Pub Group Partnership for an undisclosed sum.
Cornerstone director Gordon Mair said the inn, which was closed, had been refurbished by the previous owner.
“Although the market for pubs and especially closed pubs is very difficult, the high level of interest shown in the Avonside Inn shows there are still buyers active in the market looking for suitable opportunities, especially experienced operators who see great opportunities and have confidence in the future of the licensed trade market,” he said.
