ONE of the most popular forms of pub entertainment, live football, returns next month when the new Npower Football League season kicks off.
The action gets underway on Friday August 17 on Sky Sports, when Cardiff City will face the newly-promoted Huddersfield Town, with Leeds United challenging Wolverhampton Wanderers the following day. In total, Sky will show 75 live matches during the season.
The broadcaster also confirmed it will screen two live matches from round one of the Capital One Cup: Oldham Athletic v Sheffield Wednesday on Monday August 13 and Swindon Town v Brighton the following day.
The matches launch Sky’s coverage of the new football season, which will also include live matches from the Scottish Cup and both premier leagues.
