Dairy liqueur hits the market

A NATURAL yoghurt liqueur has been launched in the UK by drinks distributor Maxxium UK.

Developed by liqueur and spirits producer Lucas Bols, Bols Natural Yoghurt Liqueur is made with 100% fresh white yoghurt and is said to be the first product of its kind in the UK.
Described as a “sweet-sour liqueur with a natural, rich and smooth flavour”, the drink can be served chilled or used as an ingredient in cocktails.
Johna Penman, Maxxium UK’s marketing controller for specialities, said the 15% ABV liqueur gives bartenders the opportunity to explore new serves. “It is an exciting development for the UK, offering a premium and versatile alternative to the on-trade, promoting creativity and increasing profit opportunities for licensees,” she said.
