Stagg holds awards deer

GEORGE T Stagg, the premium Bourbon produced by Buffalo Trace, has been named the best spirit in the world for the second year running.

The award, bestowed by drinks magazine The Spirit Journal, is the latest in a string of awards won by the Buffalo Trace range, including two golds at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for flagship Bourbon Buffalo Trace and two awards for Eagle Rare 17 year old Kentucky Bourbon at the World Whisky Awards in London.
George T Stagg and Eagle Rare are both part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, which is released every autumn.
“The 2012 George T Stagg will arrive in the UK in September as part of our very limited allocation of the five Buffalo Trace Antique Collection whiskies for 2012,” said Jeremy Hill, chairman of distributor Hi-Spirits. “We’re expecting higher levels of interest than ever, so the best advice we can offer is to place orders early.”
