Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands said the new flavour, which has been launched in the on and off-trades, is designed to appeal to existing Finlandia drinkers as well as attract new consumers.
“We’re really excited to introduce this latest flavour, Finlandia Blackcurrant, to our range of premium vodkas,” said brand manager Chris Gately-White.
“With the summer season looming and a calendar jam-packed full of social occasions, we’re confident the new variant will help recruit new fans and reacquaint old ones, in turn maximising profit opportunities for bartenders and retailers alike.”
The Finlandia Flavours range also includes Cranberry, Lime, Mango and Grapefruit.
The Grapefruit variant, along with Finlandia Classic, has just been launched in a new 35cl bottle size in the off-trade.
Described as an “affordable and convenient” format, the new bottle features the melting ice design found on the larger format.
“We believe the new Finlandia 35cl bottles present retailers with a great chance to increase sales and profits, with the current 35cl category showing strong growth,” said Gately-White.
“With the nation getting ready to celebrate this summer, consumers will be looking to purchase items that help them mark the special occasions ahead.”
