Merchant offers a taste of Oz

WINE merchant Hallgarten Druitt held its latest tasting in the SLTN award-winning Bond No.9 in Leith earlier this month.

As well as providing an opportunity for trade representatives to taste the established Hallgarten Druitt portfolio, the event also showcased the recently introduced Peter Lehmann wines from the Barossa region of Australia.
The Peter Lehmann winery was established in 1979 and has been producing its own wines since 1980.
Other wines on offer during the four-hour tasting session included a selection from Saint Clair, in New Zealand, Chilean producer Carmen and Italian winemakers Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi and Michele Chiarlo.
Russell Buchanan, sales director, Scotland, for Hallgarten Druitt, told SLTN the Peter Lehmann wines had been “very well received indeed” by attendees.
