VINTAGE 2012 is set to deliver “exceptional quality”, according to New Zealand wine producer Brancott Estate.
While cool, wet conditions during flowering and fruit-set led to a lighter crop, mild April weather with low rain levels gave the fruit the best possible ripening conditions, explained Patrick Materman, chief winemaker for Brancott Estate, whose range includes Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
“The 2012 vintage is without a doubt one of the finest Marlborough has ever experienced,” he said.
