Search for safest city outlets underway

THE annual search for the most responsible pub and club operators in Glasgow is underway.

Now in its seventh year, the city’s Best Bar None Awards seeks to honour licensees in the city centre, west end and south side for their commitment to improving safety, curbing binge drinking and preventing anti-social behaviour.
Phil Walker, managing director of Glasgow Community and Safety Services, which runs the scheme with support from Strathclyde Police, Diageo and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, said: “Glasgow has an unrivalled night time scene and the Best Bar None Awards give us great opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work of licensees across the city.”
The deadline for entries is June 30.
