AURORA Hotel Collection has expanded its portfolio with the launch of The Cairn Lodge and Hotel in Auchterarder.

The firm, whose hotels include Glenbervie House, Airth Castle and Solsgirth House, spent more than £3 million on the acquisition and refurbishment of the Victorian property.
The new hotel has ten bedrooms, a bar and The Grill Room restaurant, which has a Josper grill and majors in “timeless classics with a modern twist” using locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients.
Designer touches, including furnishings by Andrew Martin, light fittings by Studio Italia and Philippe Starck bathrooms, feature throughout the hotel.
Aurora Hotel Collection chief executive Steven McLeod, who designed the interior of Cairn Lodge, said the hotel is a “great addition” to the group.
“There is a market for hotels that offer a quality product and great service at an affordable price and this is why we are continuing to hold our own and build our business in these very challenging times,” he said.
“The Cairn is the first of several ventures which we plan to open in the next 18 months.”
